Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions will I need?
This will depend on the particular issue. Many issues can be resolved in a single session. Some problems may take longer (up to 3 sessions)
Is there anyone who cannot be helped using these therapies?
Most people can be helped to function better in everyday life and gain a greater freedom from their limitations. During our sessions together, I will teach you a number of techniques to practice and master at home which if performed regularly will add to the success of our work together. Before I arrange an appointment, I will arrange a telephone assessment with you over the phone to get a greater idea of the particular issue.
Certain conditions such as acute psychosis are not suitable for this style of work. Similarly, as safety is paramount, any potential client experiencing thoughts of self-harm should seek help from their GP or crisis services such as A and E in the first instance.
Do you have insurance?
Yes I am fully insured for this work via Balens (http://www.balens.co.uk) who have a long history of providing specialist insurance for health and wellbeing professionals. I am also a member of the British Institute of Hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming and abide by their professional standards
How long is each session and what is the cost?
Each session lasts around 90 minutes and costs vary depending on the problem being treated. Please contact me to discuss your requirements. Payment is via PayPal in advance of the session. There is some flexibility for those who would prefer to use other methods of payment.
Where do the sessions take place and is there parking close by?
The sessions take place at
Bournbrook Varsity Medical Practice
1A Alton Rd
There is a small carpark behind the surgery which is private and costs £1 per day (spaces are limited)
There is also street parking in the roads around the surgery
What if I am a patient at your practice already?
I am unable to see our registered patients privately. We would suggest that you book an appointment in the usual way with me in surgery. Many of the techniques I use are very quick and so fit nicely into the 10 minute GP appointment
